  • My Old Barn Coat...

    I have an old barn coat that is tan with an olive green flannel lining...It has a brown corduroy collar...The lining has a few minor holes but, it is butter soft and weighty and warm. The collar shows some wear and it has a stain on the sleeve where I rubbed it against a poke berry bush…it has a small tear on the bottom hem where I caught it on a barbed wire fence and it has only one large...

    I received my 2011 Lang Proud Rooster Calendar today….Yippee! I know I know...I’m 6 days late.

    As a very young girl, my family and I would travel to visit my Grandpa Jake and Grandma Winnie in Cassville Missouri.  They lived on a farm...a real one...cows, chickens, okra, the whole thing…..It was fabulously fun...and it smelled good...especially during hay season, when my Grandpa Jake would cut hay and the sweet, nutty scent of it would fill the air…I would get so excited on these...
